Meet The Team

Susan Shelly, LPC
i have engaged in counseling many times over the years as I dealt with the effects of childhood trauma, divorce, single parenting and life in general. Each time I gained a deeper understanding of how my life experiences shaped how I interact with the world.
I dropped what no longer served me came home to my authentic self—which includes the part of me devoted to supporting others.

Rooted in Internal Family Systems, we gently explore your vulnerable parts, as well as the parts created to protect them—illustrated well in the movie Inside Out. Using a sensorimotor approach, we explore how your past experiences continue to live in your body and be expressed in your behaviors today. Integrating DBT skills we begin to regulate your system.

I

Jennifer Rivera, LCSW
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people through both the challenges and joys that come with change.

I believe that even the most exciting transitions can sometimes feel overwhelming and can bring on feelings of depression, anxiety, and fear. Whether it’s a change in your family system, a new job, or simply the natural progression of life, these moments can stir up uncertainty and emotional strain. My goal is to provide a space where you can share your story openly, feel deeply understood, and discover new clarity and direction.

In addition to general counseling I specialize in intimacy and perinatal health On a personal note, as part of a military family myself, I also bring personal understanding to my work with veterans and their loved ones.

Sheba Farvardin, LCSW
I bring compassion, understanding, and positive energy to my work with clients, helping them build strategies for self-regulation, independence, and healthy relationships. Therapy, to me, is more than a space to “vent”—it’s a safe environment to be vulnerable, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and move toward meaningful growth. One of the most powerful moments in therapy is the “ah ha” realization—when the pieces begin to connect, and your path forward becomes clearer.

My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques to foster resilience, mindfulness, and self-awareness. Together, we’ll develop coping strategies, strengthen emotional regulation, and explore the beliefs that shape your identity. I have extensive experience supporting individuals through complex trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship difficulties, identity and self-esteem exploration, and attachment challenges.

Dan Pfost, LCSW

I earned my masters degree in social work from Kutztown University. I’m certified experiential therapist, certified trauma professional, and trained in EMDR. My experience in therapy is primarily within the field of practice of substance use disorders and trauma.

My approach is to walk alongside the clients I work with, collaborating with them in challenging long-held core beliefs that may have been keeping them stuck. I consider this work to be an honor and a privilege.

In addition to experiential and EMDR, I’m well-versed in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skill building. I look forward to hearing from you!
